Blaze SAP Interface

The BlazeSAP Interface provides integration with SAP in two ways:

• SAP-QM integration
• SAP-Batch integration

BlazeLIMS has been integrated with the SAP R/3 QM module using QM-IDI.  Via this standard, robust, bi-directional interface, laboratory quality data is seamlessly integrated into the enterprise.  Inspection plans and specifications developed in SAP R/3 QM drive BlazeLIMS sample login and limit maintenance, and quality data entered in BlazeLIMS is immediately available to SAP R/3 QM, allowing usage decisions to be made with the most up-to-date quality information available. Features include:

• Fully automated and unattended interchanges
• Flexibility in allocating functionality (specification management, COA production, etc.)
• Full featured translation (component, method, etc. names).
• Comprehensive capabilities to handle special handling, packaging, etc.

BlazeLIMS has been integrated with the SAP Batch Management module to allow the tracking of SAP batch quality data in BlazeLIMS.   The creation of a batch within SAP triggers the automatic logging of a BlazeLIMS sample corresponding to the SAP batch material.  The SAP batch characteristics are used to determine additional information about the batch, such as customer information.  The protocol to be used for testing and the limits to be used to determine batch quality are maintained within BlazeLIMS.  Standard BlazeLIMS sample analysis is used to enter test results for the sample and to validate the test results against any manufacturing, product, or customer limits associated with the batch in question.  Upon sample completion, the sample disposition is returned to SAP, where the batch disposition is determined based on those results.
